Greyed out htread titles

Sorry if I'm being thicker than normal but what is the significance/difference of greyed out versus bold thread titles? I'm hanged if I can see a pattern but I've pondered it no no avail once too often now. :(

It nothing to directly do with the forum but it is your browser showing you that you have previously clicked on that link. A website's style can choose how followed and un-followed links are shown. On this forum, for threads, it is grey and black.

Thanks James, I'd wondered this but from time to time there were threads greyed out that afaik I had not viewed previously. Maybe its a case of too may forums, not enough time & maybe its early onset senile dementia. I'll try to pay more attention from now on. :sad:
