I think Glencoe have a lot of the Strombecker moulds and have repopped them.

I don't really have a long list but two i'd quite like for nostalgia and to make a better job of are

the Airfix Lancaster I built with my dad, (first ever model kit), think it was a 72nd scale

The Airfix 4.5 litre bentley continental, first car kit I made myself and made a real mess of, styrene glue everywhere, melted plastic abounding and shonky brush paint in BRG

I've been pretty lucky in acquiring my grail kits over the years so my list is quite short...

As I have moaned about here, I am devastated that neither the new tool nor the later release Airfix Gnats have the slipper tanks or rockets of the original release so one day I may hunt down one of these...

A new addition to my list from only yesterday is the Hawk F-84 ZELL combo...

Other than those, I'm fairly content and trips to model shops, kit swaps etc are really just seeking targets of opportunity...

Wow, there is something I never saw. Course, it came out 3 years before I built my first kit and probably was long off the shelves by then.

Did find they did indeed use the F-84 for ZELL tests but it used the under fuselage rocket like the F-100 and F-104 tests.

Yep. I noticed the lack of the rocket pack as well which is a bit disappointing as the ZELL trials were well-publicised at the time i.e. not TOP SECRET, and it would have been no no tooling that what they would have had to do to create this set i.e. tool the mounts for the F-84 as I don't think that Hawk did anything else like this e.g. SNARK from which they could have used existing molds...

I have a spare Revell Mace/Teracruzer kit that I have considered turning into a whiffed ZELL combo using maybe the Special Hobby F-84 or Trumpeter F-100...

It's funny because I mostly build Aircraft yet my "Must Haves" or "Deepest desires" are all ScFi . I've seen some of these and even pursued some but the prevailing cost has always caused them to escape my grasp. Tonight i was hot on the trail of #3 but the starting bid of $20 quickly skyrocketed to well over $100.

These are in so specific order:

#1 AMT's Space 1999 Eagle

#2 MPC's Cygnus from the move The Black Hole

#3 AMT's DS9 with Fiber optic lighting

#4 Monogram's Starfighter from the movie Buck Roger in the 25th Century

#5 Bandai's Argo, from the TV series Star Blazers

It's not quite the grail version, Dirk, although I think I saw something recently that the Buck Rogers series may be repopped, but if you want a 1/32 Thunderfighter AND also have a crack at a paper model, have a look here...all free to download...

I'm still after a large-scale Caudron c.714.

I've more-or-less given up on finding the Battle Axe kit in 1/48, so it looks like the Azur kit in 1/32. £30+ is a bit on the pricey side for me so if anyone ever spots it for less, let me know.

I would really like the Revell 1/110 scale Mercury Atlas, but I am not prepared to pay the silly prices on e-bay

Not too much on the "Grail" list..

#1 Has to be the 1/700 Matchbox Ariadne.. first kit I ever built as a nipper and boy did I screw it up.. I'd quite like another go. Pops up on ebay every so often but tends to be pricey.. (current "Buy It Now" of £25 on ebay)

#2 1/72 Roden Zeppelin Staaken.. not really hard to find, albeit pricey. However with 450+ parts, serious weight-support issues and lotsa lozenges, it's not something I'll be picking up until I improve as a modeller.

#3 1/72 Mach 2 Blohm & Voss HA-139.. rocks in around the £50 mrk, again widely available just a bit too much to pay. Such a strange looking aircraft, yet compelling!
