Yep, if that's an Italeri M4A3, the best that can be said for most of the tools is that they take up some space on the sprues.
I've made a few in my time, but I must say I've not thought of wooden handles before - and I have all those round toothpicks just hanging about...

It looks good Brews, but a shovel in 1/72 would be about 5-6 mm long wouldn't it? ;-)
