HU color chart

Post by gomergizmo »

Is there a printer friendly HU color chart that is text only? Is there a HU to FS conversion chart in text only? The reason I ask is printing off all the HU's would be hard on ink.

I think this should help you.

You may have to copy and paste into excel (or similar). If you're worried about ink, do you have access to a printer at work?

Thanks Ian. That was exactly what was needed. Wow 11 pages. Great reference resource.

Don't work. Andrew and I met in Ottawa because of frequent trips to the Cancer Clinic. No need for specific details except major surgery was involved. 9lb 3oz tumor. Pretty much home most of the time building.

Doing well Ian.

Broke down and printed off the chart. The reason being the Jo-Sonja pigments come in basic colors. There is going to be a lot of mixing involved. Going to be challenging for sure. If anyone would like to see some of the test results I could PM a link.

Jo-Sonja pigments I've never heard of and certainly never seen here in the old country. But any tips you have for other modellers should always be shared!

I did read about posting links to outside sites. The test can be found at plasticmodelsplus.ca/forum . Gluing and painting. Top of the list.

I assume you mean the Forum Rules. There are really two different cases.
1. We do not allow links in signatures, without prior permission, to avoid "spamming by signature".
2. But as a reference in a post, we do permit that and give some comments making it friendly.

What you are doing falls under #2 and is just fine ....

Thank you. Many times providing a link can insinuate recruiting too which is frowned upon. Can I drop a link to my domain in my signature?

An alternative is to ....
Go to "User Control Panel" on the top menu, then select "Profile", then fill in your domain in "Website", then of course save the changes.
It should then show up under your avatar. If there are any problems, let us know.

If you have an iPhone or iPad there is an excellent app called iModelKit that has colour swatches of most of the big names in paint and has a mixing tool that lets you try and mix different paints to match the colour you are after. Here is a link to their website http://www.id6.ch;.

Did a little painting on the General Lee today with JoSonja paints. Re-painted the orange with a touch of raw umber added. Not exactly right but will suffice. The door panels were painted "Fawn" Very nice paint to work with. The pictures are before and after.
