Gu" dessert ramekin glass jars

Post by T-21 »

These are dessert flat bottomed glass dishes diameter three inch x one and half inch high . Ideal for your washes, mixing paint, etc. Also the thick foil covering is ideal for making straps and latches. Sainsbury's sell them often on offer for £2 for two. I do not know if these are available outside the UK.
Another advantage is that there is less chance of them being knocked over on the work-bench. Could also be used to put in your small parts during a build.

Plus, of course, you get to eat a yummy chocolate mousse or raspberry panna cotta... or two! Foodie delights AND a useful modelling accessory. What could be better?

bestest,

Yeah, I've got a collection of these. Might need some more if they're on sale at Sainsbugs...

Yup! - Lovely stuff, and I also have a slowly expanding collection of the empty jars

Another use I've found - after dipping transparencies in Klear, I put one those jars over the top (upturned), to keep the dust off the transparencies while drying.
