Best colour for French Hellcat, Corsair etc

Photos of the real aircraft and models seem to vary and Italeri I don't always trust when it comes to colour callouts.

So what is the best or nearest colour blue for French naval aircraft after WW2?

I believe they were left in US Navy Blue.

Airfix Helldiver has decals for a post-war French Navy machine.
Colour call-out states Hu104 - Oxford Blue.

If you look at the bar above, there is a Modelling FAQ tab, one of the options when you click on it is Colour Matching. In there I found this:

French Air Force Blue-Grey: H145 Medium Grey, Lifecolor UA145 French Blue-Grey

There is also a lot of other really good stuff (I've been a member here for years and have never really taken a proper look before ), so I hope that may help. (Your question has helped me help myself because I have a Heller 1/48 Mirage IVA and wasn't sure what grey to use so I'll probably give Humbrol H145 a go! )

When i did a hellcat years ago i used humbrol "midnight blue" for nightfighters i also have seen this said in books.

Thanks for the responses, I have noticed it seems to be Midnight Blue/Oxford blue quite often, Italeri have a terrible habit of recommending Blue angel blue which is far too light! Which is what caused my confusion.

The Vallejo match for USN GSB looks pretty good to me, available in both Color and Model Air ranges, I used it on my USN and French Hellcats.
