Varnish etc
If I'm airbrushing an Acrylic matt or gloss varnish, do I need to thin it to a similar consistency as paint?

Re: Varnish etc
Hi Blue Elephant!
From experience and from other people, I would say that it would be best to thin the varnish down a bit more thinner than the normal thinned paint you have. It's better to gently mist on some varnish thats thinned down and in even coats instead of thicker coats with thicker varnish, as the substances may clump up or even eat the paintwork sometimes.
But both are not likely to happen, varnish as you like.

Thanks!
Also, just to add on: Thinner coats with varnish usually take a matter of minutes to dry normally. Once I sprayed a thick gloss coat onto a 1:350 Trafalgar Class submarine, and it took nearly 2 days until it was fully dry.
