great looking diorama Ratch. One little criticism if I may - I'd love to see a bit of weathering on the bridge itself, just a bit of rust etc., and the reason I say it is because you made a great job of the weathering on the Pug. (I've seen your thread on the ATF for this diorama and enjoyed your build process, so much so that I've been out and bought some wallpaper paste to have a go at some paper mache rocks/cliffs which I haven't done since railway modelling as a youth - just not sure what to use the rocks/cliffs for yet!).

Cheers mate
Al.

Hey Al, I'm still in two minds about weathering the bridge - I know what you mean though 8-)

That's more like it! Very nice outdoor setting for the pics too Ratch - seen like that it reminds me very much of one I walked across (very carefully) when I used to do installation work trackside out in the bush in Queensland. A couple of freshwater crocs in that creek below and it would be prefect!

Nice work mate ;-)

Cheers
Al.

The natural light brings the whole thing to life. I had a few of these bridges when I built a model railway, or Train Set, as they were back then. The old Airfix Trackside range was very good news for us cash strapped kids and they still look pretty good today. In fact, I've bought a few for some dioramas of my own.

A Girder Bridge for a small railway scene.
A water tower for an airfield backscene.
A harbour crane for a dockside model, along with some Metcalfe and Superquick buildings.
A control tower, also for the airfield.
I have at least one of every building they made. The engine shed is a very useful kit as it can be extended. You can modify the others with a few bits of plasticard for a huge range of buildings.
