DIY mini model ID plaques

Given that many of my builds are whatiffs, I wanted to make some plaques for them to I.D the plane and story it belongs to. I picked up some triangular section dowel (or maybe pine?) and some wood stain.
Add a computer printer and some spray-on satin varnish and voila!
Decent result for minimal outlay
The model is 1/72 FYI and the plaque is 14 x 45 mm
This one was pretty rushed, so it could look a lot better. I'll refine it further with time. Very quick and easy to make though, and will be a nice addition to the model display, plus handy if I take anything to club meets or shows.
