Finished It At Last

Post by SteveC »

Hello All,

In case you were wondering, and because the original group build forum is now locked I finally present, a mere 2 & 1/2 years late, my Airfix Bf109E;

Sorry it took so long, won't bother you with the reasons, just glad to finally park it with the others. Next up the old Airfix 1/72 P51D Mustang.

Regards,

Steve

Thanks Paul,

It turned out much better than I hoped, especially after the run of niggling problems that beset it from start to finish.

Thank You 'jRatz',

I only like to build one kit at a time and on this one I just had a prolonged 'modellers block'. But I wanted to finally finish it, as it was originally part of a long ago group build.

Thanks Nigel,

you may be right there, but some dishes just need a very long slow simmering time to be at their best!

Best Regards All,

Thank You Sir,

It did take a while!

for the technical bit, it was painted using the Lifecolor Lufwaffe range, except for the wing tips and light blue nose section which were Mr Hobby.

Well done for finishing it. I know from personal experience how hard it seems to finish something when it's sat part-done for ages. Great looking 109E.

Thanks David,

It was good to finally finish it. Fortunately it was almost finished before the 'great hiatus' and only took a short while to get it done. It was just a couple of minor glitches, combined with a complete loss of interest that stalled it. I just didn't want to start another before it was done.

Regards,

Steve
