Airfix 1/72 Focke Wulf FW190 D9

Post by Springy67 »

Hi All

As I have mentioned elsewhere, I have a number of models which are at least 95% complete but, for some reason, I have never got round to finishing them. So, I thought if I started putting them on here, it might be just the push I need to complete that final 5%.

First up is my Airfix FW190 D9. I was so pleased with myself for getting all those stripes on the underside, I have no idea why I haven't seen this one through to the end. All that's needed is to paint the exhausts and a bit of light weathering (unless, of course, anyone tells me otherwise).

This is how she looks at the moment. All brush painted.

Nicely done. Was that all brushwork? It's very effective. 8-)

That's a very nicely brushed paint scheme.

That's a very good effort Simon, Luftwaffe mottling is difficult to achieve whether done by brush or airbrush and, in my opinion, particularly by brush as it is difficult to get a feathered effect so kudos to you there. Are the JV44 markings from the kit or have you used aftermarket? (those stripes look like a headache waiting to happen!)
