Most of us have kits that we started some time ago and have since languished, unloved and oft forgotten, in the To Do pile...gathering dust and frustration.
Sometimes, we stall on the research, getting all AMS-like and fiddling until the cows come home, but never actually making modelling progress.
Sometimes it's because there's a particularly tricky bit of a build that confuses our troubled minds.
Sometimes, it's a particular bit of the modelling process that we find tiresome, troublesome or simply downright intimidating.
Sometimes, we get bored and our attention shifts to some new and shiny thing, which becomes the object of our desire...until it too becomes another Unfinished project.
Sometimes, we're simply missing a piece of a decal or a particular shade of green.

This is the area of the Forum in which you can submit your Unfinished models and get the boot up the botty you want to get 'em done.

The idea is to submit some of your Unfinished in a Poll, giving some background on what it is that's actually stopped your otherwise speedy modelling progress.
Participants will then vote for the model they want you to finish and you then finish it.
I'd suggest you only submit kits you'd actually want to finish.

To encourage you to actually get going and to finish it, once your Unfinished has been chosen, you have a deadline of 4 or 8 weeks to finish. This is to try and give some motivation for you to actually get the job done.
Of course, there's nothing to stop you smiling as you listen to the sound of deadlines whizzing by, but if that's your take, then why enter in the first place?

You set up a thread, just as you set up a thread in the Group Builds, and describe your progress within.

Hopefully, other Forum members will pop in from time to time, to heckle, jeer and possibly offer some positive encouragement. Who knows? You might even have someone donate that vital missing piece, or decal scheme, that has so far prevented your completion.

Once an Unfinished becomes a Finished, the Thread will be locked and you can start another...and another...and before you know it, all of your unfinished builds will be ruddy well finished!

Have fun.

Regards,
Bruce

 This is a great idea to motivate people to get started on the shelf of doom....
let´s see, which of my dust-catching plane kits want to get finished.....
(looking the s. o. doom up and down...)
I´ll be back with a list to choose from... :pilot:

I had a big mouth two days ago. Since I use modelling as an alibi to run away from important work I have to do (quite too often I do so),
I better stick to my MB Sabre that´s in the group build right now, and give out a list of my unfinished models once there´s more time left for modelling...

I started a topic in this thread with a list of my unfinished kits!
So, yous can choose now, for which kit I´ll be condemn.....ehem, asked to finish.
Dunno how to organize the polling, anyone has an idea?
