Minicraft 1/144 Mig25

Post by Jdubya »

This with a couple of other kits spent alot of last year with a couple of others collecting dust on the bench then vanished into the loft until I fished it out today. Not entirely sure why I didn't finish it as it is super basic. I really need to wash off the dust and tweak a few things before priming.

Quite large in 1/144 so must be something of a beast in 1/72nd! Will be breaking out the large hairy stick and a pot of HU127 shortly.

All the best

Primed now and am on the third coat of Humbrol 127. Didn't mix it to well for first couple of coats as the paint took an age to dry and was tacky for quite a while. Took a while to get the hang of painting properly again. Satisfying though. A couple more coats and it should be ready for the stickers.

Thanks Jim it is a bit of a beasty and looking on Kingkit they have the 1/72 Hasegawa going cheap which I may pick up. It's alot plane and alot of grey paint though :-D

Somehow managed to miss the seam below. Garr!

However almost finished bar a little touching up here and there, missiles and decals of which there are only eight. I am past the 1 month deadline but will have it done soon.

Really nice finish. It looks very business like Commy Iron.
