1/72 Matchbox BAC 167 Strikemaster Mk.80A

Post by IronMan129 »

Hey folks!
I initially started this model as part of the Matchbox Ted Taylor Tribute GB and I finished it in time but unfortunately the topic had been locked and I couldn't upload the photos due to work and other things that kept me away from my computer.
So here she is, Iv finished her in Royal Saudi Air Force colours as when I was building the model the Saudi's were over here on exercise at RAF Coningsby.
Here is a shot of the contents:

And to me one of the most attractive parts of buying a model kit, the box art!:

Now iv added a layer of undercoat onto painting the cockpit black:

As promised:

Fuselage and wings are now together and drying nicely:

First coat of camo and anti-glare black(not sure what the technical name for it is) has now been applied:

Next onto painting the orange "training" markings, wings have been glued to the fuselage, the landing gear has been installed and a final layer of paint has been added to the fuselage and cockpit:

Now to the final step of the build, decals and matt clear coat:

All in all a really nice little kit, she looks really nice nice next to the Skymax Jet Provost T.5 and the Academy A-37B Dragonfly:

Beautiful model. I have a real soft spot for this kit and you've done a great job with it.

How spooky, I was just finishing my Provost. Supurb model by the way.
