Right... I'm now going to take a 'low hanging fruit' approach to completing the 'started-not-finished' stash. It looks like the Hobby Boss Sea Hawk is now the closest to being finished, just the u/c, canopy and decals to go. So it's up next:

I've heard the white on the roundels isn't very opaque, hope it doesn't show the demarcation through the middle.

Thanks for the warning. I'll see how they go. If needs be I think I have the Xtradecal Sea Hawk set around somewhere, so I could replace with those if required.

I've built the Indian Navy version and had no issues with the decals.

The fit of the intakes and trying to sand out the fuselage lateral seam yes  , but the decals were fine.

Don't go mentioning that lateral seam Darryl  it still brings me nightmares, looking good Julian and nice to see the Seahawk in the later EDSG/white colours.

Regards

Tom

Up on it's u/c. Pilot figure next, I think I'll use one from the Revell NATO Pilots set, should be enough room in the office.

Decals going on. They are reasonably opaque, but the ridge formed by the boundary of the dark grey that I put on over the white does show through. Not a lot I dan do about that unfortunately. Fortunately only noticable close up or when using flash photo.

Decals all on and pilot installed:

Not putting the large serials on top of the wings as it looks like Hobby Boss got it wrong as there are no photos of Seahawks from that carrier and date sporting top serials, only roundels.

Canopy framing to do, drop tanks and aerials to to attach and it'll be finished.

Canopy and fuel tanks attached. Now just the last part of the front canopy framing and aerials to go.

All done

Insufficient nose weight has necessitated a small tail stand to keep the nose on the deck. Other than that quite a pleasant build.
