Bitsa Seafire FR17.

Post by Chuck E »

It is very good of Airfix to provide so many extra bits and pieces in their kits. I was able to build this Seafire from spares and an Aeroclub fuselage, which I bought before Airfix issued their new kit. The kit had 3 decal options and here is one of them. The camo paint is Humbrol Authentic Colour and the Sky is the super Xtracolour, all applied with the hairy stick. The Aeroclub conversion has lots of really nice diecast parts and two very clear canopies. Thenew Airfix kit has a spare wing and I would have used this if it had been available when I started. This is from a modified IX or V.

I blitzed this one and got it done quite quickly. Different type of scheme.

I'm going to use this kit to test out some new Humbrol Colour washes.

So many models, so little time.
