In the markings of Cpt Stefan Bastyr, of Poland's No. 7. "Kosciuszkowske" Squadron, fighting on the Russian Front in 1919/20...

The "interesting" upper and lower wing "camouflage" is my interpretation of the latest research on Fokker production colours. The plywood wings were simply painted with furniture stain, in green and brown for the upper surface, purple and blue for the lower. The uneven coverage is simply the way the wood absorbed stain... there is actually some "grain" painted below the Citadel wash "stain", but it's not as visible as it might be!

bestest,
M.

I really like this Matt and I envy
you guys who can build the old
planes like this. I like the artwork
and also that neat stitching. Very
nicely done. A lot of work-well done.
Pete.

Strewth. That is one bright biplane. Lovely job.

What a fantastic job on the finish and colour scheme. That looks so realistic that in a different light and with a suitable background that could be mistaken as real. Outstanding modelling and a very interesting subject too.
