And just think how much a Hasegawa "museum quality" 1/16 scale kit is going to cost...

Mmm, for 1962 from Airfix I could build

75mm Assault Gun
Stalin 3 Tank
Avro Anson
NA Harvard II
Scammel Tank Transporter
1904 Mercedes
Meat Van
Refrigerated Van
Heinkel He-111H
Hawker .1127 Kestrel
Bismarck
Boeing B17G
RMS Queen Elizabeth
Omibus B Type

I've never built the Anson or Harvard, so that would be interesting. Of course Bluesteel has bought the entire world supply of Airfix Anson kits

The Scammel tank transporter would be an interesting vehicle build too.

Looking on the Airfix Kit Collectors website I found, for 1968.

Hawker Demon
T-34 Tank
Grumman Hellcat
Beagle Bassett
Angel Interceptor
Douglas Skyraider
Bristol Blenheim
Grumman Helldiver
Henschel Hs-129
Mercedes 280sl
Model T Ford 1912
Honda CB450
HS125 Dominie
Grumman Duck
Fairey Battle
PE2
HMS Fearless
Ferrari 250LM
Ford Trimotor
Ilyushin Il-28
HP Hampden
Tirpitz
Handley Page 0/400
Queen Elizbeth II
James Bond Toyota
The Prince
F-111A Aardvark

The chaps at Airfix certainly were busy in those days.

Happily, quite a few of these are still about, if not in the current catalogue.

If, however, we went for a first flight/entered service GB then I have a Sepecat Jaguar in the stash.

Researching this is almost as much fun as kit building.
