I'm just sitting here giggling!
Cause this time it was not me that dragged this on to food. Zee, zee what you've done? :-D

Do you guys know that pizza originated from the Norwegian vikings? Then the Italians came...

Stop talking about food - or else open a "Food Forum". Food is for eating - not talking about (especially with your mouth full).

Did you know that a Mr Mangetout once ate a Cessna (trying vainly to link food with aeroplanes).

Traditional Neapolitan thin crust is definitely the way to go. That's what we make - yes, we make pizza from scratch at home. It's also what we found in Dalmatia, where there is a large Italian influence. One thing I dislike is deep-dish (i.e. soggy) pizza...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_pizza;

Sissel, according to Wikipedia; "The Norwegians eat most pizza in the world according to a survey by ACNielsen 2004, 5,4 kg/year per capita. 50 million frozen pizzas were sold that year, with consumption being 22,000 tons of frozen pizza, 15,000 tons of home-baked and 13,000 tons of restaurant-made pizzas." So now we know...... :ha:

I wouldn't trust 'everything' on Wikipedia. ;-)

Frozen pizza was very popular here, but I would say the sales have been going down, and about time! I haven't had a frozen pizza for a looong time, it's just crap! It's like eating paper with a distant taste...

I either make from scratch, my own speciality, thin crust offcourse. Or I buy from Pizzabakeren, which is my favorite take-away pizza place. The 'big' chain pizza-restaurants can't really make a good pizza, a few exceptions obviously, but nothing comes close to Pizzabakeren. Offcourse, my own is much better than theirs.

I've never had a Spitfire pizza with Spitfire beer. Do they exist? :-D

It would have to be elliptically shaped to be authentic (the pizza, not the beer).

I do like building Airfix Spitfires. The Academy XIV had had too many pizzas and has put on weight :)

I can only conclude with the fact that next time I'm on the British island, I will get me a bottle of Spitfire beer!

I've never made my own pizza dough. When preparing said pizza though, would I have to spin the dough around over my head whilst singing Italian opera or something, to get the authentic taste? :ha:

I would advise trying some Spitfire next time you find yourself over here Sissel. It's a proper nice glug of ale :-D

You don't HAVE to. But it helps....Sissel will demonstrate in one of her famous videos.

I'm glad you have faith in me, Paul...
And I'm thinking of buying myself a new camera for Christmas, looking at a few Nikons. Just so I can show off my pizza skills in a video. You must be psychic!
My opera singing might scare you all off though...

PS: When are we gonna get a blue or purple 'cheesy-smiley'? I quite fancy those colors you know. :ha:

I have mentioned this before -- Korean Seafood Pizza, also known as Hamuel Paejon, or just plain Paejon. It can also be known as seafood pancake ...

Here a recipe, just to show seafood can go on a pizza, just depend son your definition thereof. BTW, I love 'em.
