Tim's '34 Ford Street Rod **Finished**
Re: Tim's '34 Ford Street Rod **Finished**
That is fantastic!
I've only ever built two cars before and that really brings one in particular back to mind: The Airfix Dukes' Digger from The Dukes of Hazzard!

Very nice!
This kit goes together without glue, or did you have to use it?

That looks really great Tim. IMHO a satin finish looks much more realistic. I'm not a fan of high gloss finishes which in my view can render models a little toy like.

As promised, some better photos of the Ford.
I only used glue to attach the replacement rear lights. Most of the parts just push together and the chassis is fitted to the body with a couple of screws, trapping the fenders between them.Prisca wrote:This kit goes together without glue, or did you have to use it?

Gary Numan, that brings back memories! Glad you didn't dispense with the chrome, I know some folks don't like pre-chromed parts but I think it depends on the model; I like chrome as chrome, but not when it's supposed to depict ali or steel. As it is it makes a nice contrast.

I can imagine driving that on a dark, rainy London night back in the old days.

Thanks for the comments. The chrome does contrast nicely with the black paint.
