I have four bottles of these , their approx four years old , I think the medium has gone off a bit , is there a wise sage on the forum who knows what thinner I should use to revive them , eg IPA , Tamiya , turps ,whatever , thanks in advance

They are lacquer based so you should use Cellulose Thinners. It's very volatile so use in a well ventilated area.

As James has said, Cellulose Nitrate thinner will work, but (not trying to teach you to suck eggs or anything) but if you've never used Celly before please be aware that it's vicious stuff. Horrible fumes and very volatile, but it also attacks everything it touches, it will melt most plastics and can generally destroy things. It has been known to soften the seals in cheaper airbrushes when used as a thinner and ultimately cause air leaks. Just a heads-up (from my experiences with spraying full size cars).
But it's fantastic for cleaning things, celly will get anything off anything!

Zee28, thanks for the heads up , think I will bin them as it's only four bottles , not worth the agro of trying to track down the thinner this side of the world , I had to wait until I visited the uk over crimbo before I could get any IPA ( not the beer lol) , once again thanks mate

You should be able to get cellulose thinners from hardware shops. It's not a modelling specific product.
