I've seen that Army Painter stuff advertised and would consider the quickshades for my Warhammer 40,000 figures. I would dare dip a tank into it though!

Yeah its very good for 40k but for the tank i only brushed it on! I think dipping would have taken it too far although I contemplated it and even sized it up over the tin but then common sense prevailed!!! :ha:

It's been a while Justin and it's good to see you back, gladiators and all  My burning question though is what on earth is an Army Painter Quickshade?

Essentially it's a wash that, instead of brushing on, you just dip your figures into and then shake off.

Its pretty good Shaun, another example of how it can make a mediocre job by yours truly into something that I think has a lot more eye appeal!

Just watched the video. A very simple but effective method of shading smaller figures.

It works for me as my figure painting is average at best and it hides a multitude of errors!!! :-D

Good evening all,

I have returned to the fold, its been a really hectic 2 years. Was made redundant from the RN shortly after having new twin girls, three house moves and a new job. Family and me are all settled in Lincolnshire and are finally happy! So time to start enjoying life and I have found some time for modelling!

The display cabinet became a bit bare with house move breakages and me just being generally clumsy! But I have built a few in the last few months. I will endeavour to get some pics up later.

But most importantly its good to be back,

Regards

Justin
