Nice one Daz, that is shaping up very well. I'm a recent convert to Revell Aqua paints having used them for the first time on my current airliner builds. I'm impressed so far, I found the paint to be virtually odour free and to cover quite well (by airbrush), although the Ultramarine Blue that I used did require two coats to get a nice dense colour over the grey Vallejo primer on the model.

I tend to thin my acrylics down (Water) a bit for both coats, but I generally only require two coats for it to look OK to me!

PZ865 - finished.

I enjoyed these builds rather a lot! The Spitfire and Hurricane had no nasty surprises, and went together quick as you like. The Lancaster was fun to build, but only took longer to finish because it was a big kite to put together!

I have another set of BBMF decals, so I may well get another set of these aircraft to build sometime!

Excellent looking Hurricane Daren, that's turned out really well.

Very nice Hurricane Daren, Revell Aqua is my favourite paint, it is self levelling, is heavily pigmented so it can be thinned far more than Humbrol and it will still cover when thinned so, it is also quite well filled so when you have thinned it for use it will go much further mg for mg than Humbrol. An added bonus is that the thicker colours can be used straight from the tub as a brushable filler for small gaps, and if wiped clean with a damp pad when wet it doesn't need sanding down afterwards.

Thanks, guys.

Yeah, I've not looked back since starting on Revell Aqua paints. I've been quite pleased with each model I've painted, and I saw in your Spitfire build threads (I think) that you can fill in some of the heavier panels lines with it! :)

You can yes Daren, either reducing or filling them as you wish.
