Re: Maverick231's Workbench
Good to see you back after a period of inactivity Mav. Why not start with some pics of the F-16, Hawk and Lancaster builds? As a matter of interest, which kit is the Lanc? I have the new tool Airfix Dambusters kit waiting to come onto the bench after I've finished my current foray into civil aviation.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Re: Maverick231's Workbench
Thanks ShaunW!
I would but im currently at work and I have very limited Internet Access so untill I get home its text only.
The Lancaster is the old Airfix kit from the BBMF set which came with a Spitfire and a Huricane.
I think the kit is a fair few years old as it was bought for me when I was a child and I some how found it when I got back into 1/72 along with an Airfix Tornado GR.4A which I painted into my own version of the 70th Dambusters livery.
The reason I have chosen Polly Parrot for the Revell F-16 is because I am the Display Pilot for the Official FSX RNLAF F-16 Solo Demo Team and that is the bird we fly so she will be presented at the 2014 Cosford Flight Sim Show.

Re: Maverick231's Workbench
Well a Virtual F-16 Pilot .
Well I decided to do abit of work on the Tornado's load out as she just didnt look right without any ordinance.
Here is a pic of the test fit:
She will be loaded with two Drop-Tanks, a Sky Shadow, a BOZ-107 Pod(Chaff and Flares) and two ALARM's(Air Launched Anti-Radiation Missile).
The Drop-Tanks were custom made from the spares box and so will the Sky Shadow.
Detailing will be done on them very soon.

Re: Maverick231's Workbench
Ok folks I know I said I was working on the F-16 and Tornado but like all great plans, they have changed.
I am currently working on a number of old 1/72 scale models given to me by a friend as her Dad had these in storage for a number of years but doesnt want them anymore.
Here is a list of aircraft and helicopters in the box:
Auster AOP6/ Beagle A.61 Terrier VX113
Bristol Belvedere XG448
Bristol Blenheim Mk.1 L1336
De Havilland Vampire WA331
EE Canberra PR.9 XH170
EE Lightning F.1 XM192
Fiat G.50 FR-92
Gloster Meteor EE239
Hawker Hunter T.7 XX169
Lockheed L-1049 Constellation(Short Nosed)
Panavia Tornado Prototype XX950
Short Sunderland Mk.III DD867
Westland Gazelle XW844
I have nearly finished the Auster and started work on the Sunderland:
I hope to do some more work on the mighty Sunderland today, I have the gear and decals on there way and I hope that once shes complete I can put her on Display at the Telford Show on the Coastal Command SIG's Stand.

Re: Maverick231's Workbench
Good stuff Mav. I've never built either of these and I hope to make Telford again this year so it would be great to see your Sunderland! Did the Auster kit originally come with different undercarriages, including skis? or am I thinking of something else?

Re: Maverick231's Workbench
Thanks ShaunW!
There both nice Aircraft but I wish I had them from kits as these were all old built and painted models that had about an inch of dust on!
Erm If I remember correctly I have seen the Airfix Auster come with both options but dont shoot me if im wrong .
