Thanking you...........it was a lot of fun to build it.The Great Auk wrote:Flute, that's one amazing SPAD!
The colors are so very pleasing to the eye and that rigging is absolutely first-rate!
The Great Auk
The Choroszy Caudron went into a stasis field at the beginning of the year when I realised after mounting the top wing that there was no way to add the booms without a major rebuild. Since then I've been messing with stuff I've not really had the enthusiasm to post, although they look okay-ish now done, except one of them. For the record, a Meteor T.7 and NF.13 from Classic Airframes, a T.7 from Aeroclub, all 1/48th, a long-in-progress Pegasus Fokker XXIII, and Emhar 1/35th Mark V hermaphrodite WWI tank, and because I think the Fokker needs a companion I'm now slinging together a Heller Saab J-21a.
The one that doesn't look okay-ish is because the paint job is still in progress - a complicated TT scheme off an Xtradecal sheet. It's in the photo, along with bits of 2 WWI vacs, a Navy N-9H Jenny by Esoteric and a Beardmore W.III by Joystick. The latter should look interesting next to my 5 Airfix Pups, being a highly modified Pup version for use from carriers.
Here's an Alleycat 1/48th Vickers Vimy, primered, but I'll get the struts painted up before I take it any further. The Dreadnought underneath it really needs some TLC.
Nearly forgot, here's an Alleycat FB.5 Vampire. I didn't build it that well, but very pleased I got it for 99p off Ebay.
Aeroclub T.7.......
Classic Airframes NF.13 (decals shattered, and I've added a few lumps the real aeroplane didn't have, as I found out too late).
Emhar tanketty-tank. Not my area of expertise, but fun to build. The finish in real life is much more matt than here.
And finally, because I've got one of the new Airfix Blenheim Mark 1s, here's the MPM kit, with Kits at War decals:
Cheese.
