Javelin FAW 7

Post by Nigel Foster »

I am proposing to finish converting a Frog FAW9 back to a FAW7.
I have sorted the back end out, the pipes and rear end reflect the FAW7.

However I am informed the wing was different in some way?
Does anyone know the difference and how it is reflected in 1/72 scale?

Thanks in anticipation for any kind replies.

FAW8/9s had a drooped leading edge, I doubt it will change the shape of the wing though. Possibly a panel line needs removing?

AFAIK none of the AlleyCat conversion sets (for the 1/48 FAW9) changed the wing apart from armament.

Thanks for that reply. It is good to have an answer, especially one that makes the modelling easy.

Cheers
