North Devon Show pictures 2015

Post by TomW »

As promised here are a few shots of the display from last weekends show:

This was the first time the North Devon Model Society had run their show and it was well attended, over 215 through the doors throughout the day meant a very sore throat by the end of the show. The display got a lot of attention from all ages; one common response was how pleasing it was to see a themed display covering a rare subject. I handed out contact details to several people and received invites to several shows later in the year.

All in all a success I think and I have made sure we are top of the invite list for next years show.

Well done. Were you flying solo, and was that all your collection of models or was it yours and those of others which you are caretaking

Thanks both of you  Chris that was approximately 70% my own collection and 30% from other SIG members that I hold as part of the display pool. And yes it was a solo effort manning the stand but that just means I get to talk to more of the public so I don't mind too much

That makes getting the mag doubly worth it to have two items from it, to add to a nostalgia-book... (assuming you keep relevant news clippings and such like, in the way I do)
