"I want Little Nellie. Most urgent!"
Now that the obligatory family time is almost done, here we go.
Christmas morning and the most intriguing present on the pile
And inside I found this. Most definitely left of centre for me but one I have always wanted to do and never got round to getting one. Nice choice SS, looking forward to this one

I've never seen that kit built up. Now pay attention, 007.

I hope it ends up neither shaken nor stirred!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

You might find these images of the original useful, I took them at the James Bond show in London back in March 2015

Thanks splash, some great reference material in there and looks like it was a good show
Sprue shot
Some toy-like parts will have to be replaced, such as the 'firing' rocket pods. You point the model down, pull a little trigger and a missile falls out (no spring to launch it). Have to dig out some multi-shot pods from the spares. Also thinking about replacing the wheels.

When the kit was first issued the missiles had springs and they could be fired, but I suspect the H&S Gremlins have put a ban on it. as us responsible adults can't be trusted and might have two much fun.
You might find springs out of cheap retractable pens might fit the missile launchers

Lol - I love the box art on this - How Cool Mr Bond looks - sitting there with his arms crossed during a dogfight - and what's he going to do with that pistol?

Airfix used a lot of artistic license with their box art, I watched the film last night on TV, the kit parts correctly showing Bond wearing a helmet with a cine camera mounted at the front not DJ's and a gun and the attack helicopters in the film are Bell 47's not what looks like Brantley helicopters on the box.Sir T wrote:Lol - I love the box art on this - How Cool Mr Bond looks - sitting there with his arms crossed during a dogfight - and what's he going to do with that pistol?
I must get one of this kits.

A Brantley does appear at the start of one Bond, I forget which, when it scoops up Blofeld in a wheelchair and drops him down a chimney. Always fancied building one because of that scene

That was a Jet Ranger that dropped Blofeld down the chimney...the Brantley appeared, I think, in a much early Bond...
