What flew over my house today. Just now the ISS at 17,000 MPH. I waved but don't think they saw me. My house is left of the port solar panel of the lower Doyez.

Not over our house as such, but over me while I was in Docklands doing a site inspection!
Two USMC V-22 Osprey in close-ish formation and at fairly low level (sub 2000'); great noise and an unusual sight in London I would say!

Re: What flew over your house today?
Just seen this thread. Couple of Tornados on Monday, pair of Typhoons on Tuesday, but not a patch on the Dakota which did two circuits of our village on Sunday. Even Mrs. Bailey recognised that one. No idea what it was doing, but they waved back at us.

Not over the house but me, little Greg and Sarah had a drive over to Finningly (now called robin hood airport for some unknown reason, Robin hood was from Loxley which is miles away from here in Sheffield???).
To the point, On the apron were an Ilushyn IL76 and an Antonov AN12.
All the best.

An AirSpray L-188 on initial approach to our local air tanker base. I took the photo the day before the Ft.McMurray forest fire started; so the day after, this aircraft was heading north to fight that inferno. I've only seen it return to our local base once since that time, and that was to battle the Fox Creek blaze.
I know it wasn't today, but, at least it was this month.

Nice shot, 59.
Not close enough for photos (which means they didn't technically fly over my house...), but today saw an H-60 of some unknown variant, a quartet of Chinooks heading for the airport and a C-130, also variant indeterminate, up in the haze.

Had a Jet Provost around today. And yesterday, as it was Armed Forces Day in the town we had a Super-Hawker HurriSpit!. Alright a Hawker Hurricane, but it was advertised locally as a Spitfire from the BBMF. It did one pass which we barely saw it come in on but then it came around in a wide arc right above our house. It did a second fly-by then pootled off towards Duxford, which leads me to suspect it was from there rather than the BBMF.
The day of the Queens Birthday flypast we had a Tornado arc around our house, not sure if it was one from the two that were in the flypast, this was at least an hour afterwards.

Re: What flew over your house today?
Yesterday and today, 2 x Scottish Aviation Bulldog trainers, Bucker Jungmann and Jungmeister, Flight of 3 Grob tutors, 4x JetRangers, a Hurricane (couldn't see which mark) , a Hawk from RAF Valley, a Squirrel and Griffon from RAF Shawbury and to crown it all a B-52. Well it was Cosford airshow today and I live very close . Sad thing was the B-52 pilot decided the weather was too bad and didn't display.

Re: What flew over your house today?
These flew right over my home today, mustering up interest for this weekends airshow at our local municipal airport.
When I heard the jet engine noise, I ran out of the house as fast as a 60yr old can run. Still only managed a few crappy shots.
I'll try to get better pics on Saturday at the show, and post them in the forums airshow/display section.

You may call them crappy shots but without you efforts I wouldn't have 'seen' them!!. Don't exactly get a lot of F/A-18's around here!! (or CF-118's I think you call them!).
