Greetings to All
Having been a member of another forum for some time now and greatly enjoyed sharing my work with fellow modellers, I decided to 'branch out' so to speak and having looked at this forum on numerous occasion (and been impressed by the modelling I've seen) I decided this would be a great place to get even more tips and advice, whilst showing my passion for model making.
I have been model making for some time, gradually learning the tricks of the hobby.
My First kit, I made partly with my Dad's help was the Airfix Me(bf) 109 kit 02048 (which I subsequently converted into a Hispano Buchon) and I have it still, although it needs some TLC.
I do things slightly...differently. I set out my work in the style of a fictitious museum 'The South East Aviation Museum' which I imagine being somewhere locally, possibly the former Hatfield Aerodrome, I am not sure, this is the airfield with some of the exhibits:
That said, I do my updates and works in a restoration/replica style which will become apparent as time goes on. Perhaps a bit mad, but it's fun.
I hope that people will enjoy watching my builds and will provide hints, tips and advice
Chris

Welcome to the forum Chris; nice to see some of your builds and to hear about your style of displaying them. Sounds a cool way to do things!
Look forward to seeing you around the place, and hearing your thoughts on all the other builds going on

Welcome aboard !!
That's an interesting display concept. We've had a couple museum group builds - you might be interested if/when one rolls around again.

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Welcome, Chris!
I've always thought a museum setting would be a natural for our models - glad to see someone putting it into practice!
