Israeli Defense Force GB *** Complete & Archived ***
Have we ever had an Israeli Air Force GB, and if not would anyone fancy one?
I've been planning a few IAF builds for a while now. I'd like to build up a collection of the many and varied fixed and rotary wing aircraft, from a very mixed group of manufacturers, they have operated since they were formed on the 28th May 1948. I thought that this might be a good way of kicking a build off.
It's been a while since I've been GBL but I'm happy to give it a shot - you never know I might even finish something.
Cheers
Stuart

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

I'd be interested. One of my first themed collections, back in the late seventies, was Israeli aircraft, and it's about time I did another one.

What an IDF GB, rather than just the IAF? Maybe, if there's the demand. They are certainly well known for their armour.planecrazyman61 wrote:yes please but could we open it up to armour as well that might get a few more interested

Oh, I had a whole series of models, mostly Airfix and Matchbox, all to 1/72. Wish I had some photos.

I am in. Hope we do the IDF route.

I'm more than tempted with this one. List me as a probable.

I think I have an Israeli F-16 Block 52 in the stash; subject to timing I'm up for this
Best wishes

Re: Israeli Air Force GB? (or IDF?)
So still a few more needed but at least there's some interest. Subjects go from the present day back to 1948, so plenty of choice.
If we get enough people interested, can I suggest May for this? The calendar is pretty clear in may and the IAF was formed in May - so it kind of fits.
Cheers

I shouldn't keep signing up for gb's, I get snowed under with them... but I have a Kinetic F-16I Sufa that's been waiting a turn on the bench for a few years so I'm in. Not really a fan of the sixteen but the XL and Sufa type versions I like so there we go. i
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

I am very keen on anything in Israeli markings so count me in. I may even splash out on a 1/32 F-14A and some after market decals.
