Daz's Hollywood Hispano - **FINISHED**
Re: Daz's Hollywood Hispano
Paint started going on last night. The Buchon's basic scheme was identical to that worn for the filming of Piece of Cake a year prior, with only the colours being changed to accurately reflect the time period.
Not looking forward to painting those splodges, though!

Re: Daz's Hollywood Hispano
I'd try painting the light parts over the darker colour; painting those random shaped 'splodges' at 1/72 would be tricky!
It's coming on nicely so far!

Cheers, iggie.
I did a similar scheme on a '109G for the last Messerschmitt GB a while back. If I remember rightly, I did it dark-on-light.
All free-hand, too!

Looking good Daren. It has its critics but I think the 109 in all its variations is a pretty looking piece of engineering, and an unbroken milestone in fighter design.

Well, folks, normally I would have this done by now, especially as I've been on holiday since Wednesday, but I've been feeling as rough as a badger's bum for some reason and I've scarcely touched any plastic whatsoever!
Hopefully I'll be right by Monday so I can carry on.

A fine detail brush and a steady hand should see those blotches sorted. Or cut a series of masks out of TT as the blotches have hard edges so could be relatively easily masked.

Sorry chaps, this has stalled a bit due to work and another modelling commitment - note to self, I am NOT doing two 1/24th models ever again!!
However, I'll be back at it ASAP.

The Buchon has had an attack of splodge pox!

Re: Daz's Hollywood Hispano
Nice one Daren, that splodgy Memphis Belle scheme is tricky in this scale. The Buchon is not a bad looking fighter in actual fact.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

With the prop and canopy now on, it's surely got to be time for the decals?!
