PTs SS GB SB
Re: PTs SS GB SB
Smashing stuff, a little goes a long way!!. I might need sea background for my ships and country lane type stuff for the land scene. Will see what I'm getting sorted as far as scene's are concerned.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

What scale are your ships Marky? If I see something useful whilst searching for backgrounds for myself I could save it for when you're ready. Same with the anti tank gun, what scale are you working in?

The ships are all 1/700, everything else is 1/72 or 1/76. Thank you for that.Purplethistle wrote:What scale are your ships Marky? If I see something useful whilst searching for backgrounds for myself I could save it for when you're ready. Same with the anti tank gun, what scale are you working in?

6 a.m. 22 September 1940. Among the first German troops to land on British soil are 7 Fallschirmjager who capture Lympne Airfield.
(I've posted about this before, but using a pretty poor blurry photo from my old camera)

I hadn't planned it, I was thinking of a couple of separate different dios for each, but now you mention it.......Clashcityrocker wrote:2 different scales. Another perspective type diorama?

Meanwhile, the 222 interior is a bit (lot) basic inside, so detailing starts with a textured floor courtesy of a clip of staples from a photocopier.

The scene that they should have had in SS GB. There was a 222 in episode 2, why they didn't have it appear after the Resistance guy shot the Luftwaffe pilot, I don't know!

I've missed the show altogether but to prove I haven't abandoned this SB...
Here's some I did earlier...

Something more for the SB...
The plan is to make a country scene, perhaps a narrow lane with German tanks approaching the hidden position of the gun. I might even have British and German troops involved.

Re: PTs SS GB SB
Cool! Those wee Zvezda jobs look rather neat. I actually have a backdrop photo saved that could nicely set that and a panzer off. It's a pub/hotel at the fork in a road that I initially thought was too cramped for a AT v Panzer scene, but that wee popgun would need to be pretty close up to hurt a Panzer III.
I'll airbrush out any modern details and let you see it soon.

Thanks matey. I did think the gun was a little low powered to take on the tanks I have but the gun crew can be hastily putting the guns wheels on and running for it!!.

Re: PTs SS GB SB
Have you ever thought of having something like a German Tank next to a red telephone box?
Stuart Templeton I may not be good but I'm slow...

I have something like that in the pipelineSir T wrote:Have you ever thought of having something like a German Tank next to a red telephone box?
German troops and armour in typical Hampshire or Kent streets would make a powerful image as I hope to show.
Is your interest piqued enough to join in?

I'd love to but I'm snowed under with other builds at present.
