Previously-built Models

Post by JohnRatzenberger »

Here post 1-2 images of previous builds of GB-subject models. You do not have to be a member of this GB to do so.

If your model has a build thread on UAMF (old or new), then please include the link.

I won't have time to take part in the GB, so I'll have to settle for photobombing you guys with a pair built for a similar project at the local club in 2010. Airfix Draken and Hasegawa Skyhawk, in markings from the Buck Danny comics.

Hey! I've found a Pokémon! *

Nice work there Rob, I'm not familiar with the comic but I'll look that up.

*Disclaimer - I only know the Pokémon symbol because there is a Manga shop right beside the bus stop I use going home from work.

These roundels predate Pokemon by at least three decades. I guess the silly little critters all want to join the Flying Tigers when the finally grow up :-D

I love the idea of this group build

My first comic build was the Johnny Red Hurricane from Battle Comics. This was built as part of a 24 hour blitz build some years back here of UAMF

Another Comic build that I'm doing is still in progress. Its for a Batman group build being hosted on the Amazing Scale Modelers Facebook page. Anything Batman related, so that means anything goes even "What ifs". I wanted to be different then most and decided on this Jimmy Flintstone figure I picked up at a show. At first it was going to be a take on Batgirl but the more I worked on it the more I felt it was Batwoman. so....

I should have this one done soon
