A great pair of models Henry and hopefully the new owner will be very pleased with them - I would be for sure!

Re: Ural slow bench...
Thank you all for your comments.
Retaking old projects, I remember my P-51 Israelí versión and AVIA S_199 KP old mold, so I decide to finish them
I retake the not so bad for the age, AVIA, and made a kind of Frankestain, put some Heller K4 parts, G resin interior, and some
other parts.
Sprue, resin... etc.
I use the HATAKA set for the Israeli first years camo, wich I find completely wrong, brown looks like orange!
I decide to "give it a chance" and apply the blue (that looks better)... but definitively is orange!
best regards
Henry

I think the brown looks right. It might be a little brighter for scale effect? Maybe a dark wash can tone it down?

What a beautiful pair of models - superb work on both of them. You've weathered them very nicely!
The Avia is looking lovely also.

Re: Ural slow bench...
The pictures of the Dakota and gladiator together...simply amazing. At first I thought I was looking at photos from an airplane museum. Honest!
You're an incredibly talented modeler.

Tnak you all!
Softscience! thank you very much for your words!
About the AVIA, I think my pictures are very bad, but believe me the color looks orange! so, I just made a mix and paint it again.
From this, I toned down to that!
this color is a little darker than the one in the P-51, but this allowed me to make some effects
there are both aircraft ready for the underside grey, you can see the P-51 is just a touch lighter!
This is how the AVIA looks with the paint direct from the HATAKA botle.
Italeri make this area absolutely difficult to work on, so I decide cut the flaps, and made them in metal sheet.
Tamiya masking for curves (white) works very good.
best regards
Henry

Re: Ural slow bench...
Superb work Henry! It's great to see a 109 AND a P-51 in the same scheme - good old IAF!

And I am interested to see the Tamiya white tape in action!
Thank you!

Re: Ural slow bench...
Hello to all, and thank you, those are real nice schemes! I´m not sure if the AVIA was blue or not, but... can´t confirm that.
David, the Tamiya white tape works real good, and save times in cases like the P-51
my effort trying to correct the almost incorrigible Italeri P-51 radiators zone!
not good, but far better than the kit.
there is a "step" that I don´t like, but, "landed" nobody gonna note it.
Landing gear
starting decals process
Best regards

You're cracking along very nicely here and doing that old KP Avia way more justice than it deserves!

Re: Ural slow bench...
Wow! Very cool.
Are you using the Airfix legs for the Mustang? They gave me a lot of trouble on my kit. The plastic was very soft, and they kept twisting and bending.

Re: Ural slow bench...
Hello, thank you gnome! I decide to give that all kit a try, since, I allways believe that the work that KP do in those years, was very good, considering all the facts!
Softcience, no, I´m not using Airfix legs, but I read that many people has troubles with that? I´m considering to reinforce them before glued to the kit!
Decals process almost ready on the AVIA, sharing the platform with the EXCELLENT airfix new jeep, from the C-47 box.
I´m really impressed with this little gem! It is the first 1/72 Jeep, that looks like a Jeep!
P-51, AVIA, and Jeep, almost ready for the weathering, just needs some few more steps!
Regards
Henry
