Hi David, how's the 0/400 coming along? Any further progress yet?
Best wishes

The wing centre section and lower tailplane have been fitted and the base colour of Revell Aqua Dark Green 39 has been applied to represent NIVO.

The engine pods have been built up and painted and the upper wing has been pre-painted and rigged ready for assembly

The rest of the wing parts have also been pre-painted ready for assembly.

That seems an interesting approach to rigging the wings; not immediately obvious to me so I'm waiting to see how it proceeds.

The sequence is peculiar to this kit John with the rigging strung inside the wings during construction before the upper and lower halves are joined together.

Thanks, David. I could, of course, get out one of mine and read the instructions :)

I guess I was mostly curious why no threads hanging from the top of that center strut piece waiting to be tied down to the bottoms of the strut sections on either side when all put together. And I know that made no sense ...

The engine nacelles were then cemented to the wing C/S and fuselage, next the lower half of the upper wing centre section was glued in place and the centre section rigging was threaded and cyanoe'd in place.

Excellent work David, although I recall that installing the engine nacelles was like wrestling an octopus when I built mine!
Best wishes

The words I used when fitting the engines were, shall we say somewhat cruder.

Is that a perch for in-flight engine maintenance above the nacelles?

It is for maintenance Nigel but not whilst in flight.
