Hi Mav,
I feel I better ask for some extension time, since I´m quite busy with all kinds of things right now.
But, I´m very determined to finish my very first airliner kit asap!
I have a soft spot for this planey: Was my very first flight in a plane, in a good old Caravelle :pilot:
(as a passenger, I mean)
Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.

Playing Tetris taught me: If I clean up too much, my kits disappear.....8-(

...I couldn´t stop work on my Fishbed altogether:
did scratch a new "boundary layer exit" (that´s how it´s called in a squadron signal walkaround, I wouldn´t know how to call this?)
for the top of the nose. What has been there, engraved by Matchbox, fell victim to sanding.....

Image

I cut this thing out of a soft plastic "fluid dropper" (don´t know a better word for it), have to use CA to glue it.

Image

I used Quickboost´s resin replacements for Fujimi´s Fishbed as a pattern for this.
I´ll NOT scratch the other intakes found on the Mig, I don´t want to go crazy on this kit -
(already did so before..... :omg )
but this intake I don´t want to leave out.

So, the Caravelle got some silver on, now I put gloss white on her back, and, hopefully, tomorrow decals?
Photos to follow soon

Thank you, Mav! An extra 4 1/2 weeks very welcome here.

...some touch-ups with white, then some clear gloss on the white - cause it´s only satin....
I hope decals are opaque enough not to let shine through the white/silver demarcation line!

....and had a change of mind about the to-be-scratched "nose exhaust" of the MiG:
that wobbly plastic I intended to use I better exchange for a part of styrene from a half-rocket
from the spares box:

Just a quick question to everyone, how long do people want this Shared Build to last?

If you ask me, I´d say, it can last for a while, cause right after my Mig, there are 3 Mustangs crying out to get finished.
But to me, I don´t get sulky, if I have to post my other sod-builds under "workbench", or: "....ruddy well finish".
Anyway, the Caravan,....,ehm, Caravelle´s about to fly out of its hangar (I hope it will happen today):

Pictures tomorrow, I want to make some with the sky as background. Today it was raining almost the whole day,
so no opportunity yet.

The Caravelle is a graceful looking aeroplane. Nice build.
