NOT MY BUILD!
My boy Ethan finished off his Tamiya 1/24 Peugeot 206 WRC 2002 this afternoon.
He is *SO* pleased with it, and rightly so!
I did give him plenty of help to start off with, but as he neared completion he became more and more confident and did the finishing touches on his own (under my watchful eyes). We had to strip it and repaint it once. He really struggled with the decals as they were cracked and most of the larger ones broke up, but he got most of them on and realigned. He added all the small details like the bonnet clips and aerials with superglue and tweezers which I was very impressed we with. He really has found his area of interest with cars, he bought the Airfix 1/32 Mini Cooper S for his next project.
I'm chuffed to bits with this.
Is it perfect? No, but it's not far off for an novice 11 yo modeller.

That's great, Mike. Congrats to young Ethan, even if he has chosen the Dark Side of cars... he really is a chip off the old block in so many ways! Will he be joining us in Telford? I think Jack's first visit was when he was 11...
Best,
M.

Really an outstanding modelling effort. Well done, indeed!
In my opinion, hands on modelling for our youth is enormously more valuable than gaming in front of a computer screen. Modelling helps youth develop wonderful skill sets, as well as being just plain fun.

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

That's a fantastic job for anyone for a first kit but especially a heavily decaled kit and his age, he's very justified in looking so pleased.
Great job there
