Inherit the Wind***Finished***

Pre-1980 boxings of any kit, but preferably hard to obtain -- something that would make a collector cringe to see built.

I agree with Greg. There's just something about these straight wing first generation jets that just grabs your eye. You're doing a great job on her!

Well, the grand kids are away and I have been a good boy so have been granted some much needed bench time.

Today, so far, I have masked of the white areas with Gorilla tape. This is very much like Tamiya yellow tape. Then hosed on the Gull Gray. Tamiya Light Sea Gray was used as close enough. Masking removed and looks the part. I did not miss the horizontal stabilizers as they are Hi-Vis Orange. Red, Orange will now brighten things up.

Wow that looks smooth as silk!

My hat's off to you for being able to build something so crisp!

Finally have the red and orange painting done. Also the jet exhaust areas in Testors Steel 1180 color.

Next will be the bare metal leading edges and walkways on top of the wings.

Getting there.

So today I have completed the wing walks, anti glare panel and the florescent orange on the horizontal stabilizers. All with decal material.

In my decal bank I have sheets of solid decal colors by Micro Scale. Mail order had them on sale in around 1980 for $.99 cents a sheet. hey come in handy even if i have to coat them decal film to be safe.

That's looking smoother than a smooth thing that's just been polished :-D

Don't you hate it when you run out of things to compare it against.

That looks so much better than the dark blue schemes.
