gnomemeansgnome's golden oldie Badger ***zakonchennyy!***

Pre-1980 boxings of any kit, but preferably hard to obtain -- something that would make a collector cringe to see built.

gnomemeansgnome's golden oldie Badger ***zakonchennyy!***

Post by gnomemeansgnome »

Because one entry wasn't enough and not to worry there will be pics soon and anyways the Heinkel build is being conducted in what I would term a leisurely pace, I have also decided to throw a rarer oldie into the race. This, the 1967 boxing of the 1960 era kit which I purchased at last years' IPMS Vancouver show, shall be attended to in a short while.

Ho WOW. Never seen one of those in the plastic. Only the sealed box. Can't wait for this one.

All the best.

Yes, a lucky if slightly pricey acquisition at $16 CDN for what is apparently a 1:190th scale(!) model.

Should look impressive when it's done. Weird scale though, hey.

Yeah I think that the scales are rather convoluted, as long as it fit the box it was sold in, basically. Not much to it, and it is rather small. If I were into Blitzbaus at all it would make a good subject.

Now that's an outstanding choice!

I had no idea Monogram kitted this aircraft and I'm really looking forward to seeing you build yours!

It's a pretty basic kit as you can see. Barely 7" by 7". Got the fuselage and tail buttoned together.

Thanks!! It's pretty funny, this kit. Less than two dozen parts in total. The real work will be in flash and making up for lack of detail duties, neither of which i am going to push too hard. Strictly out of box, no funny stuff.

Yeah, so true. But as you can see the fuselage has some seam issues to deal with, and there is a noticeable gap where the horizontal stabiliser fits into the tail unit. I see some shimming and puttying in the very near future
