More Airfix @ Home Bargains!

Post by IronMan129 »

Hey all!
Spotted another batch of Airfix kits at Home Bargains Loughborough!
Slightly more limited this time though compared to the selection we had to choose from last time!

Hi Maverick231, I have been to the three home bargains in the surrounding area and none have any kits at all.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

That's quite odd that our new store is the only one!

We've only got a relatively small branch of HB in Pontefract and I haven't noticed any kits in there before. I might be in town tomoz (not made my mind up yet!) and if so I will go in and check, just in case

Visited my local store today and they had in Airfix Zeros for £3.99, not my bag really but a bargain at that price.Opening the box,Airfix say it's all over H90.Surely these early Zeros were grey not sky!Can anyone out there tell me if this is right.

The light grey used on Japanese naval aircraft of that era had a slight green tinge - but it definitely wasn't "Sky". Tamiya do a proper version.

Hi Eric Mc,thanks for that,I dont normally do things with a meatball on but a model with a brush and glue for £3.99 is worth buying.

There's a HB store in Cambourne, about five miles or so from me but I can't get the motivation to go, even for models!!. I seem to be reluctant to go in case they don't have any!!
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

No luck at mine, I'm afraid. Not to worry. Plenty of stuff in the stash.
So many models, so little time.
