Select the most rubbish kit in your stash, one that probably has no other chance of seeing a workbench, and build it however you wish - and have fun doing it along with others likewise occupied.
The GB runs from 27 Dec through 31 Jan and your host is DazDaMan.

I had one of those Starfix Spitfire horrors. Bad kit, good air rifle fodder for my uprated .22 BSA Meteor.
I am considering my options for this. Below are two of the not so special kits. It may be one of these, maybe not. Will have to see.

All the best.

I've spent the last few days looking at various kits and wondering whether they were bad enough for this GB. Then I remembered this......

TimJ I didn't find that kit so bad so this confirms that the Condor MiG-25U does qualify for this GB!

Joining the fun with more work than is strictly sensible. Cross kitting two ships to make two completely different.
I wish, that I knew what was doing!

Ok. I had a brainstorm today. I ws at the big supermarket near the Aeroventure museum and remembered a kit they had on the shelf a few weeks ago. I called in and sure enough it was still there. I bought the kit and now it's the no1 contenderfrom my stash. It's the Revell re-pop of the rather old 1/72Monogram Skyraider. Ok. It looks like a Skyraider. It has iit's faults though. Most glaring in the fuselage - just like a politician's promiss - lacks depth. The cockpit tub. A novel thing from the era of this kit is basic. The hardpoints are rectangular stubs molded under the wings. . The wings (so I am told) do not have enough angle of attack.
So. Does this fit the bil as a crap kit? I will let you guys decide.

All the best.

Greg.

My opinion: go ahead! It´s "good" enough for this GB ;-)
Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.

Gah! I'd forgotten this was now - I've been away on vacation so this caught me out.
Never mind, the very krappy PM models F-16 is not a complex kit, so I should be able to get it done pretty quick. I need to go dig into the stash to retrieve it, then I'll set up a build thread.

I am getting curious as to why some of us have such well known dogs of kits in our stashes. In my case, I have the Merlin Swift, Meteor F8, Vampire T11, TSR2 and Contrail TSR2 and Scimitar as they were the only kits available of those types at the time (90s) when I really started trying to acquire a collection to build all post war RAF/RN types. I remember being thrilled when I found them in dusty corners of old model stores around the country.

In my case, I wanted an F-16 but not so badly that I wanted to spend a lot. I picked up the PM kit quite cheap...then got home, opened the box and discovered why!

I found a much better kit for a song at an auction. The PM was in the stash in limbo. Then this build came along.

I was in my LMS yesterday.
He had a Starfix Spitfire. I was tempted to buy it just for this GB but I was put off by the price - £12!
I bought an Airfix P51 and Frog Gloster Whittle E28/39 for that amount instead
I have no kit which I'd describe as the title of this GB
