PT's effort ends in a Fireball**Thank you, Goodnight**

This is a "get your feet wet" GB for figures and busts for those who have been reluctant to try or want to expand their skills. Any era, any scale, any subject -- even supporting vehicles/equipment are allowed, say in a diorama/vignette.
This GB runs from 1st January to 11th February and your host is rob_van_riel.

Going to use five of these guys and go into some territory that I've avoided so far.

Oh dear, something where ending up in a Fireball is considered a good outcome. I shudder to think what a bad outcome might be

Just being enigmatic....and giving a clue to the specific timescale of the subject :-D

Work has commenced with the selection of body parts, plastic rod and the purchase of some sparkly blue card. There is a lot of shaving off of original details and slight reshaping of chins and brows to get closer to the faces of the real people that I'm hoping to represent. Not that much difference is visible at this stage, more so once I start slapping on Milliput

I wish I had a (mental) picture of the originals, to better appreciate the work going on here. Any pictures of what your aiming for you can post or link to?

There are only two still photos that I know of Deep Purples appearance on Top of the pops in December 1971 playing the song 'Fireball' Apparently "the video of that edition of the show did not survive..." although I suspect it's more likely that edition was presented by some DJ who is now Persona non grata.
Whilst using the photo as a guide for clothes and equipment, I'll be representing the start of the song with it's lively drum and bass intro.

........the 'Add photo' seems to have gone AWOL, I'll post the photo tonight from home

....as promised, the occasion that I'm hoping to represent (Note- I didn't say copy......the base figures would require just too much surgery)

Black Sabbath, Queen or Lynyrd Skynyrd next please, for an aging rock fan.
As usual, stunning work well beyond my capabilities.
I wish, that I knew what was doing!

Funny you should mention those bands, General, I was just thinking that the head I used for Jon Lord could also work for Tony Iommi and the trolley jack guys arms would convert to Ozzys 'Peace salute' .....I'll really need to get at least one more Race Team set, especially as they're wearing flares :-D
Skynyrd are a must someday, Early Queen too......and Aerosmith......and Whitesnake......and UFO....

....and.....etc.
