Spanhoe Waco

Post by Ratch »

"HIYA HONEY" 314th Troop Carrier Group, 9th Air Force, Spanhoe (Harringworth), March 1944. By April there were 30 Wacos at Spanhoe. No Wacos were used operationally from Spanhoe, they were used exclusively for training.

Looks really nice Ratch, especially with the Dak in the background to set it off 8-)

The Waco turned out very well, Ratch and it makes a change to see an assault glider. I agree, it looks good teamed up with the C-47 8-)

That is a really good model of a rarely seen bird. Did you paint on the name on the front?

Lovely stuff Ratch. It's nice to see a glider on here, they're rare, and your mini diorama display with the figures and stuff are always good. Nice one mate!

Nice one Ratch. I've never seen a Waco before, but I must confess I'm not very well up on my gliders ;-)

Lovely paint job on your figures, very precise.
