OT gets Foxy *** Finished ***

Select the most rubbish kit in your stash, one that probably has no other chance of seeing a workbench, and build it however you wish - and have fun doing it along with others likewise occupied.

It's a Kangnam kit...I'd go with B.

Down with that sort of thing.....Easy now!

Just time for a quick update on this here build.
Got the seats and IP's into the nose section and added some weight for good measure.

Image

Tonight I plan to get the two halves together and see how that looks. Here is the fuselage section that it will attach too complete with wings.

Image

The wings are now solidly attached and the gaps filled. Ready for the twin tails now.
Once the main parts are together I should be able to tell if she will tail sit or not. There is still room for extra weight in the nose cone if needed.

More to follow. :smilie_flagge3:

Oddly, it looks OK for shape (granted that it's 16 scale feet short) and I can see it being an impressive piece of kit when it's finished. What are the decals like? I have plenty of spares if they're as...quality as the rest of the kit.

Got the pit halves together last night. Still need to add some drops of klear to simulate screens\dials etc.

Image

Image

I won't waste time with the side consoles as they will not be visible once the canopy is in place.
The seam line is good on top but the left half is noticeably smaller than the right. Some serious trimming, filling and sanding has been done on the underside. I'm worried that the nose cone won't fit now. :frown:

I have cleaned up and attached the vertical stabilisers. Although the holes mostly lined up with the pins there is quite a gap under both despite my best efforts to force them to sit down. :???:
The angle is left totally to the model builder as they flop about alarmingly so more super glue may be used.

Image

That rear fuselage seam line still needs some attention! As you can see the panel lines are a bit hit and miss so I might sand them off yet.

The canopy has been dipped in klear so I hope to start masking it later today. I'll attach it with PVA once the sub-assemblies are together and I've established if she is a tail sitter or not. She may end up in flight mode and I can't add crew after the lid is on! ;-)

I plan to leave the exhaust cans off until after painting is complete. I'll leave the wing pylons off for now too.

nice looking cockpit! I wouldn´t bother more with it, either - the Foxhound only has little glass to look thru

Good work going on here. 16 feet short? How the heck could they get the length so wrong?
