Re: Mav's Condor Mikoyan MiG-25U
Should we start donating filler?
Sorry but I will get through a fair bit myself.

Thanks for the support folks!
This is turning out to be a bit of a beast to build.
I am still enjoying it though, i tested the nose section and man it looks the part!

Re: Mav's Condor Mikoyan MiG-25U
Managed to paint the cockpit tubs, glued set empty tubs in place and glued a ton of weight in, not sure it needs much but in true Maverick style I decided to just go for it and hope for the best.
Not enough progress has been made get to war rent a photo but as soon as the ejection seats, joysticks and panels are in I'll upload one.
I've noticed there's only one panel so I'm going to have to scratch build one using the other as a template.
I've got a few ideas on how to give the panel more depth but ill see what happens and how adventures I'm feeling at the time.

I built the single seater version of this kit. Good luck, I'm afraid you'll need it!

Re: Mav's Condor Mikoyan MiG-25U
Yeah I guessed that, she seems to be fighting me all the way!
I made he decision to close the cockpit tub up tonight!
I will add the cockpit interior at a later stage as it all seems to slide in nicely through the hole.
To get the halves to fit properly I had to remove some of the weights as I hadn't put them in at the correct angle.
Also there's 2 small holes on the underside of the nose so.they're gonna have to be filled.
Heres a shot of dry fitting the nose and the fuselage:

Re: Mav's Condor Mikoyan MiG-25U
Thanks Tim.
Man this kit will not stop fighting me!
The fit for the cockpit section that slides onto the fuselage almost seems like it should have been designed for another kit as its just too big and the kind soles at Condor have put an antenna right on the join line!
Every time I look at the model I find another hole, I'm sure this kit is eating itself!
I'm going to put a coat of primer on and se what it looks like but I'm just about ready to call the sanding and filling done and just leave it the way it is regardless!
Heres a pic of the 3 Soviet's I have on the bench sat on my Nimrod Pilot's seat.

All the three look sharp from here, don´t worry
Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.

Re: Mav's Fighting Condor Mikoyan MiG-25U Foxbat
Thanks folks.
I may need an extension on the time limit to be honest as no matter how much I try the current deadline just seems impossible.
The ejector seats are now painted, on the 30th I plan on getting the canopy masked and the cockpit installed, I will not be picking this kit up tomorrow as it is my birthday and really don't wanna have to deal with stress so shell be shelved for a day.
