Revell 1/32 scale UNSC Wathog

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

Revell 1/32 scale UNSC Wathog

Post by jssel »

Present at the last club meeting was the UNSC Warthog. A Revell Snap-Tite kit based on some video game (HALO). The last video game I played was Tetras so my education is lacking. But it looks very much like a Upper Peninsula of Michigan (where I live) game and fish getter if I ever saw one. Sat down one afternoon wondering how long it would take to build and within a couple of hours it was done. The windshield was not supplied in the box so have one on order. Three nice figures are included but chose not to use them at this time. Scaled at 1/32 I will wait for Toivo and Eino figures to install later. Most of the build time was spent weathering with washes and pastel chalks. Really great fun.

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Wow that looks seriously good to me, Jeff, although the only HALO that I'm aware of is a Special Forces parachute technique - I'm the wrong side of 55 and therefore know nothing about video games :???: :ha:

Killed the radio star I think. I dunno, are they not called video games anymore? I suppose not and that term that is referring more to arcade stuff. I assume games like HALO just called computer games now?

Jeez I'm becoming old, confused and unable to get down with the kids :???: :ha:

My son who's into games and gaming consoles, much to my continuous horror as he's never modelled ever, reckons this build is SWEET 8-)
Been modelling for years, still learning . . . .
Model kits are meant to be assembled . . . . . . . . . . eventually.
