Superb Shaun; that is looking really great!
Best wishes
Jim
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

That is a superb looking 109: the mottle effect looks absolutely right. The finish overall is very good too - the sheen is subtle but most effective. One to be proud of there.
Re: Shaun's 2018 Bodging Bench
For some bizarre reason - the other day when you initially posted those photos after adding decals - I could not see the image - only read text - so I didnt phase over it, as I could see there were more photos to come once other bits n bobs were added ...
yet - today - and when a few more posts have appeared - the photos are there for me to see.
Anyhow - it is looking good and I look forward to seeing it once over the final fence.

Many thanks for your kind words folks. Chris, I've also noticed in other member's threads that occasionally post image photos don't initially appear and then do so later on whilst in surrounding threads all is well
At the moment I am still engaged in detail painting of the '109 so there isn't anything really substantial to show you all at present.

Re: Shaun's 2018 Bodging Bench
Many thanks, Ralph.
I'm on the final lap now, everything is fitted save for the opening centre section of the canopy (I'm waiting for paint on the seat back armour that fits into it to dry), the prop assembly and the wing guns. I had no issues with the fit of the undercarriage or the canopy sections and in fact both were among the best I have experienced with a model aircraft kit:
After fitting those final parts I will apply matt clear coat around the canopy frames to darken the paint to (hopefully) match the airframe and then make an antenna wire from stretched sprue. I reckon this build will be completed tomorrow or Saturday.
Thanks for looking.

Coming together well now, and I look forward to seeing what you do with your next project which I saw somewhere is a crusader ... (I am assuming it is one I started)

Re: Shaun's 2018 Bodging Bench
Many thanks for your kind words, folks, they are all very much appreciated.
After this build I feel the time is right to return to a spot of armour building as I haven't done any for quite some time. The Airfix Crusader that you very kindly donated to the cause is indeed likely to be the first up, Chris.
