54mm LRRP, Vietnam ** Finished**

This is a "get your feet wet" GB for figures and busts for those who have been reluctant to try or want to expand their skills. Any era, any scale, any subject -- even supporting vehicles/equipment are allowed, say in a diorama/vignette.
This GB runs from 1st January to 11th February and your host is rob_van_riel.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
I'm calling this one done.
As mentioned by Gnomemeansgnome, I used stretched sprue inserted into predrilled holes and leaves cut from green paper, to complete the bamboo.
The groundwork is polyfilla with various small stones and sand added, then painted and washed with various colours of acrylics.

So completes my first GB on UAMF.
Thanks to Rob for leading it and thanks for all the comments guys.
Regards, Paddy.

That's brilliant Paddy! The figure is superb in it's own right but the addition of the bamboo and scenery really makes it work fantastically!
Best wishes

Jim

Fantastic work.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

That is stunning Paddy! although the finished photos don't show it quite as well as the progress one just before you made the bamboo, the eyes looking to the guys left in what I call 'combat squint' give it a totally believable animation. The painting and vegetation are so spot on too. MegaKudos 8-)
