Revell Spitfire Mk.IIa 1/32 (03986)
Really enjoyed this build despite the much publicised inaccuracies, none of which were corrected during the build
For me, it is sufficiently close to looking like a Spitfire and that's good enough
Fit overall was really good, although it is worth watching the assembly of the upper and lower wing surfaces, and the fitting of the flaps if intended to be in the closed position. The detail in the cockpit is great, and responds well to a bit of dry-brushing and a wash of dirt, os as I did a coat of Tamiya Smoke plus matt varnish.
Paints externally were all AK Interactive acrylic, brush painted and finished with Winsor & Newton Galeria Matt Varnish. When the weather improves, I will add some exhaust and gun-port staining

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

A job well done making one beautiful Spitfire. I'm especially impressed with the ockpit area, as well as the brush work.
You probably could have spent a few more minutes on the seams, but, it is your build and I'm sure you had fun making such a lovely model. Well done indeed.

I enjoyed watching this come together on your WW thread, Iggie. That is a great build featuring some impressive brush work!

The cockpit details look very good. Come to that so does the rest of the model! I could easily mistake that for 1/24th.

You've made a nice job of that.

Very smart.
I built one of those myself a while ago, and I rather enjoyed it. So much so, that I bought two more!
